Dear Love...

Dear Love,

I am writing this letter to you as an acknowledgement that I am feeling you everywhere and everyday. People often address you with the symbol 'Heart' but I suppose even heartless people have love for something. Actually your presence there makes them go heartless. Don't think I am complaining about your presence.  I am just trying to convey that you are very strong even in your uncomfortable zone which everyone of us are bad at.

I always have an eerie feeling that why should I love people who loves me. But you are just like a boomerang which always wanted to go back to their origin.  Yes, I do love traveling. But I cant travel like you tirelessly. You are seriously peripatetic that you walk, run, accelerate and get into even the deepest of the minds without any complexity. I appreciate you but don't embarrass humans like me by making the job of bringing out emotions look so easy. You are complexly simple and simply complex for sure.

This letter might make me look like a terrific flirt. But I don't mind flirting with love itself.

When people tend to define you, they always chose to keep you within the locked fingers of opposite sexes. Is that all elaborates you? Seriously, No. I can see you everywhere around me. May be I don't have any other work to do. But one thing is for sure. Even infinity is not good enough to define the metric of your existence.

I saw you in my mom's tears when I left for hostel,

I saw you in 100 rs note which my dad forced into my wallet even after my objection,

I saw you in my sister's half bitten chocolate,

I saw you in my grandma's bedtime stories,

I saw you in my friend's hand when it burdened my shoulder,

I saw you in my relative's advice who wants to make opinion about everything in my life,

I saw you in a stranger's smile when he adjusted himself to offer me a seat,

I saw you in my colleague's help when he filled the status on my behalf and many more...

People have a strong superstition about love that it exists only when the phrase 'I love you' is uttered. Thats where they are getting it wrong and fails to realize your existence. I realized you in many other phrases too.

'Did you eat well?'

'Reached home?'

'Don't go that way, traffic police is waiting'

'Take leave and get some rest'

'Shall we take a selfie?'

'Where should we go this summer?'

'I need you to come to my marriage 2 days before'

'You became too weak'

'I am trusting you'

'(BEEP) (BEEP) (BEEP)'

These are just few examples which I came across frequently. If I intend to state all the phrases, this letter will go down as a endless story which none would like to hear.

You are there in smile, tears, joy, pain, fear, anger, trust, disgust, anticipation, surprise and also in colors, music, books, letters, chocolates and anything that comes into existence. You never hesitate to show up and show off, be it with a stranger or acquaintance. You are mischievous at times but that doesn't make you bad.

I don't want to complain about you because it's us who continuously fail to realize you and thus concluding 'love' a bad word.

Nevertheless, you are a great companion who made me see this world from different perspective.

Be you and Keep myself being me.

Yours lovingly,
Me.

  1. I really loved the concept of the letter. There are a few little grammar and punctuation mistakes.
I'm wondering if you have seen a movie called Collateral Beauty? With Will Smith in it?
