Probably the above words sums up my knowledge on Hyderabad before May 15,2014. The Day I was made to force myself a Hyderbadi questioning the days to come after. A change is something that happens at the exit of your comfort zone. But when you want to change the change a old one, you need to get comfortable with what you have. Getting comfortable with something isn't an easy job. I never felt any difficulty with coding in java, continuously hearing a language in which I was aware only movie titles or eating a roti. Credits to the people I met, lived with, roamed around and respected for the past one year. I will continue to do so.
The Year was a mix of Sweet and Salt moments tasting just like a Butter and Jam together with a bread. That was the combination I was picking on the way to my training centre though teased by someone regularly. During my Initial training days, I always had a fear whether I could cope up with programming stuff and all or not. The reason being that the programming hadn't been considered even as a pickle during my academics. But soon I felt myself confident as an eerie feeling inside told me to think positive.
Sitting inside a closed hotel with two girls and a tummy-shouting hunger wasn't my dinner plan anytime before I had to stay late for completion of my training project. We had two choices either to stay hungry or eat Aloo paratha. As anyone, we chose the latter and went to sleep later than never.
When you get along with sincere people, you are supposed to be sincere rather than making them insincere. This made me to wake up early on the last day of my Training to complete our project.
To look like a professional, you have to be in Formals. Who said ? May be someone from a company that makes Formal shirts and Pants. The company I had been associated never gave me a chance to wear my Formal costumes keenly selected by my mother to get me a too good boy look.
An Uber Cool lead, a happy-go-lucky mentor and friends for life. This package made my year and life at Hyderabad an Easier one.
Dosas became occassional for the first time in life. But Dosa's Co-brother Paratha came into life like a season that will come no matter what you like it or not. Cooking wasn't my cadre at any point of time as I had already tried my hand with that ending up missing a good tea in a tea spoon. I was in a situation to cook something the reason being my being. I tried my hand at chicken too. In the end, I remember the recipe for now.
I am always a lover of tea. But this Irani chai made me a fanatic that my night-outs always had at least 3-4 rounds of tea. (Hussain Sagar) Lake Walk was never a Cake walk as it was a huge one. But with the Irani Tea being served there, I was able to do the rounds almost every weekend without tiring.
I was happy that I am not a Veggie. I would have been converted to Non-Vegetarian for those Instantly addictive biriyanis. Many times I would go with a mood to have something light. But those biriyanis always made me spend like a million dollar baby. Whenever I got a phone call from my friends, the question was never 'How are you?'. Instead they loved to inquire about biriyani.
Of course, Hyderabad is not only about foods. But most of my emotional connects were made through foods. Thats how I tasted First Haleem of my life.
A Parching brownie with Red Velvet and Vanilla at 2 am was like a dream when I walked back 6 kms to reach my place with a sight of families queued up to have that joy.
Many lighter moments here and there in which I didn't find anything to care. At last, everything came to an end when I wanted a change that shouldn't let me to settle down in my comfort zone. My search for change will continue until I didn't get bored of something I do.
Surely I will miss
The Fantastic four who had been grateful to accept themselves a victim for my tortures and gave most of my memorable moments,
Broken Hindi I had been practicing all the way to bargain with an auto driver,
Dosawala who had been kind enough to provide me food at late nights,
Raj Bhavan Road and Necklace Road, the only two roads which I knew to roam around alone,
Swathi tiffens who had been taking the most part of my salary,
Dosa Palace where I have been brainwashed always to take Teen Maar Dosa(150 Rs),
City Kababs who had been major contributor of Biriyani to my life apart from my mom,
Kirana ghar and Ratnadeep who had been my snacks partner,
My roommates who made me to feel easy,
My good friend who had been with me right from the training days until my last day,
My colleagues whom I had been looking up for the past 1 year,
And My company which made me realize the importance of letter 'L' in the word 'Learn'.
All I would like to say is
'Hey Hyderabad !! Thanks for everything you had given to me and Sorry for everything I had given to you...'
